Ujaya brings over 23 years of experience in strategic communication, branding, and social development. He has led marketing and brand management for diverse industries including FMCG, finance, consumer durables, automotive, telecom, and development projects. Ujaya has assisted several global brands in successful launches in Nepal. He is a recipient of the “Flame Leadership Award” from the Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI) and the “Asia’s Most Admired Marketing Leader Award” at the 14th edition of CMO Asia in Singapore. Recently, he was named the “ECI Innovative Marketer of the Year 2023” in Wuxi, China. Ujaya authored his first book, ‘Brandsutra,’ on branding and advertising in 2015. He is regularly invited as a jury member and speaker for advertising and brand awards across the region. Ujaya also contributes as a columnist for global publications on topics related to Nepali advertising. Ujaya serves as the First Vice President of the Advertising Association of Nepal. He is dedicated to introducing industry codes of conduct and best practices, collaborating with regulators on policy decisions and advancing transparency, media measurement, technology and youth leadership in advertising. His goal is to enhance Nepali advertising and elevate its recognition on the global stage.
