Brief:

Establish a digital community of girls created by Sunsilk Nepal to take on all the attributes and celebrate the girl power to showcase it in Nepal and the world.

Major Insights:

We found that girls in Nepal are constantly on the lookout for avenues to expand their horizons and showcase their talents to the world. They are always on the lookout for major opportunities to express themselves, especially in the digital space.

Approach & Execution:

After several rounds of brainstorming, we came up with the idea to create a virtual contest where our audience could showcase their creativity and talent to the Sunsilk Dashain Vibes tune. We conceptualized the first edition in 2020 with major success with the same success in the following year, proving #SunsilkDashainVibes to be one of the best performing digital campaign. The third edition saw girls from various parts of the country display their beautiful hair as well as their talent to the Sunsilk Dashain Vibes 3 tune. The top 3 winners were selected from the thousands of participants and became the Gang of Girls for 2023-2024 alongside brand ambassadors Princy and Prisma. The top 3 also got the opportunity to be featured on the special edition Sunsilk packs. The success of the three editions of this campaign has paved a path for us and Unilever Nepal to continue #SunsilkDashainVibes in the future.
